A Prayer for Parents and Children

Heavenly Father, please give my parents the strength to get through difficult times. Help them to be patient and to trust you with all their hearts. Please grant my parents the wisdom they need to make good decisions and the courage to do the right thing.

I pray that my parents feel your peace, Lord, and that you help them to overcome any obstacles they are facing.

I ask that you bring healing to my parents, Lord, healing for their souls and their bodies. Please restore their strength and fill them with hope. Dear God, please help my parents heal from any pain they are experiencing and fill their home with your love and joy.

Father, please cut through any negative atmosphere, and restore my parents to themselves. 

Lord, help me to be a good child to my parents. Give me the patience to listen and to help them when they are struggling. Help me to speak to them with kindness and respect.

Help me to bear my parents' shortcomings with patience and to seek their happiness in everything I do. Amen.
